FOLLOW LIVE: Updates, highlights from Yankees vs. Guardians ALDS Game 5

After splitting the first two games of their ALDS at Yankee Stadium and then doing the same in Games 3 and 4 at Progressive Field, the clubs will play a deciding Game 5 in New York on Tuesday.

Monday’s rain postponement is the second of the series, but it allows each team the opportunity to reassess their pitching strategy.

After New York ace Gerrit Cole went seven strong innings Sunday in Game 4, Jameson Taillon was scheduled to be on the bump after beginning the postseason in the Yankees’ bullpen. Aaron Civale was supposed to get the start for Cleveland, but with the postponement of Monday’s game due to rain, the door for Shane Bieber to take the mound for Cleveland opens.
