LIVE: Follow SN’s in-game updates from Sporting Bowl 56

It’s a battle of No. 4 seeds in Super Bowl 56, with the upstart Bengals and the stalwart Rams meeting on Feb. 13 in Los Angeles to determine the best in the world.

Michaels, 77, has held prestigious jobs on both Monday night and Sunday night, and moving to Thursday may soon be in his future. In his stead, Mike Tirico could take over for Michaels in 2023.

Aside from intrigue in the broadcast booth, there’s a matchup between two squads with different paths to the big game. The Rams were a popular Super Bowl pick to represent the NFC this year prior to the start of the season, and they’ve made good on the Matthew Stafford trade so far. But, hey, even Jared Goff made it to a Super Bowl with the Rams.

On the opposite sideline, Joe Burrow — the other No. 9 — is angling to make some serious history. Should the Bengals pull off the upset, Burrow will become the first quarterback to win the Heisman trophy, a national championship and a Super Bowl in NFL history.

It’s a game rife with storylines from the booth to the field. Fans tuning in to watch the biggest game of the season will have a number of options to watch, stream and listen to Super Bowl 56.
