Despite a path to a potential Ryan Garcia fight in front of him, Davis sees Hector as a potential threat to that plan. His opponent is known for upsets, beating Chris Colbert back in February 2022 to end the momentum of a top prospect.
Even as the overwhelming favorite heading into the fight, Davis understands his opponent is not an easy task.
“I’m definitely not sleeping on him or overlooking him. You saw what he did against Colbert,” Davis said in a Twitter Spaces conversation hosted by the account @LazyLeftyOG, via Boxing Scene.
