Colorado took the first game of the finals in thrilling fashion as Andre Burakovsky buried the game-winning goal just 1:23 into the overtime period, lifting the Avs to a 4-3 win.
The Western Conference champions had jumped out to an early 3-1 lead after the first period, but the Lightning tied the game 3-3 with two goals 48 seconds apart in the second. After a scoreless third, the game went to OT, where the Avalanche improved to 4-1 during the extra frame in these playoffs thanks to Burakovsky.

Now Colorado has an opportunity to double their lead in the series with a win tonight. However, Tampa Bay is attempting to grab a road win before the series shifts back to Amalie Arena.
